Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, defeating Spanish player Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the second round match. The match was very tense, especially in the second set, when Svitolina lost 4 games in a row after leading 4:1. However, the Ukrainian managed to break and win the set in a tiebreak with a score of 7:6.

In the third round, Svitolina will meet American tennis player Hailey Baptiste. After a successful performance at the tournament in Madrid, where she rose to the top 15 of the WTA rankings, Svitolina is now once again demonstrating a high level of play. Additionally, another Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk is in 27th place in the world ranking.
