Mustafa Dschamiljew - politician of Crimean Tatar descent, one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar national movement, human rights defender, participant in the dissident movement, political prisoner, people's deputy of Ukraine from the European Solidarity party faction. Hero of Ukraine (2023).
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Ajseriez in the Sudak district of Crimea. As a child, deported to Kazakhstan with his parents. From 1962 to 1965, he studied at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration Engineers for Agriculture. He was expelled for 'indecent behavior'.
Career. 1959-1961 - locksmith, electromechanic, Mirzatschul repair workshop, Tashkent region.

1961 - co-founder, head of the Crimean Tatar Youth Association in Tashkent.

1998-2007 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the III-V congresses. In the parliament of the III Congress, he belonged to the faction of the People's Movement of Ukraine. In the parliament of the IV Congress, he was first in the Our Ukraine faction, then returned to the People's Movement of Ukraine. In the parliament of the V Congress, he belonged to the Our Ukraine faction.
2007-2012 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the VI Congress from the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc (No. 27 in the party list). Chairman of the subcommittee on issues of indigenous peoples, national minorities, ethnic groups, deported peoples, and national minorities in the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities, and Interethnic Relations of the Verkhovna Rada.
From December 2012 until - people's deputy of Ukraine of the VII Congress, entered the parliament on the list of the Batkivshchyna party under No. 12. Member of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities, and Interethnic Relations of the Verkhovna Rada.
In all his terms, he remains non-partisan.
From 20 August 2014 to May 2019 - the President of Ukraine's commissioner for Crimean Tatar affairs.
From November 2014 to August 2019 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the VIII Congress.
Participation in early Parliamentary elections 2019 from the European Solidarity party, No.6 in the party list. From August 2019 - people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX Congress from the European Solidarity party.
Awards. Honorary Doctor of Law from Selcuk University (Turkey), laureate of the international P. Orlik Prize 'For the Democratization of Ukrainian Society'. Awarded the Nansen Medal (UN), the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of II and IV degrees.
Hero of Ukraine (2023).
Family. Wife Safinanr - head of the Crimean Tatar Women's League. He has one daughter and two sons.
