Maria Efrosinina

Date of Birth: 25.05.1979
Place of Birth. Education. Maria was born in Kerch. She graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University with a degree as a translator for English and Spanish.
Career. She has been working in television since the age of 19. Her debut was at UTR-1 in the show 'Happy Call'. Within a few years, Maria gained great popularity and, together with her partner in the morning show 'Growth' on the New Channel, Jury Gorbunov, won the Teletriumph Award in 2002 in the category 'Best Television Show'.
She collaborated with Russian channels such as Muz-TV, NTV (show 'Factor of Fear'), DTV ('My Fat and Unattractive Groom'). She participated in an edition of the British morning show 'Big Breakfast'. Maria was part of projects like 'Conflict Line' on ICTV, 'Star Duet', 'Alone in the Wide Field' on the Inter channel, 'Fashion Verdict' on Inter (co-host: Ukrainian designer Oksana Karavanskaya and Russian singer Boris Moiseev).

She was the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, which took place in Kyiv thanks to the victory of singer Ruslana the previous year.
Maria Efrosinina tried her hand at acting several times. Her first job was the role of a journalist in the series '5 Minutes to the Subway' (2006). In 2007, she hit the theater stage in the comedic parody 'Helping is So Easy, or Where the Children Come From' (director: the chief director of the Podil Theater in the capital, Vitali Malakhov). Efrosinina's heroine was a surrogate mother. Since March 3, 2011, she has been hosting the show 'Dreams Come True', aimed at fulfilling the wishes of ordinary people. At the end of 2011, the last episodes of the second season of 'Dreams Come True' were filmed.
In spring 2014, the romantic reality show 'Hearts of Three with Maria Efrosinina' was aired on New Channel - a television story of three girls in search of love, with Maria Efrosinina as the host.
At the end of May 2014, Efrosinina left New Channel to take a break, spend time with family (in August 2014 she had her second child), actively engage in social activities, and prepare a new project.
On July 17, 2016 at the Odessa International Film Festival, Ukrainian director Anatoliy Matieshko presented his new series 'Triple Protection' with Maria Efrosinina in the lead role.
In 2017, Maria became the host of the new social entertainment project 'Surprise, Surprise!' on the STB, which will fulfill the secret wishes of Ukrainians.
In May 2018, Maria Efrosinina was appointed UN ambassador for charity for the population in Ukraine.
In 2018, she visited 12 cities in Ukraine to meet with women and engage in heart-to-heart conversations as part of the project 'You Are Alone with Yourself'.
In 2018, she participated in the project 'Dancing with the Stars' on channel 1+1.
In 2018, she played one of the main roles in the family comedy 'Adventures with St. Nicholas'.
Views and Ratings. In 2006, the hostess was included in the Top 100 of the magazine 'Focus' - 'The Most Influential Women of Ukraine'. As the magazine pointed out, her influence is based on 'a successful career and popularity'.
Her colleague, television host Oleg Panjuta, described Maria as follows: '… she made herself. She captivates with amazing work abilities, determination, and the best human qualities: kindness, openness, sincerity. Having come to a big city as a little girl, she did not let herself be defeated and managed to become a real person.'
Maria Efrosinina has been repeatedly awarded the title of the most stylish host in Ukraine. She is a prize winner of the awards 'Black Pearl', 'ELLE Idol'.
She herself says about herself: 'I consider myself successful, that's true. I have done too much for it… Success is work. A lot of work…'.
Family. Married. Her husband is Timur Khromaev, a businessman, former chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, controls the investment company 'Arta'. Timur is the son of Zaurbek Khromaev, honored coach of Ukraine, the first vice-president of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine. The couple is raising daughter Nana (2004) and son Alexander (2014).
