Jana Klotschkowa

Jana Alexandrovna Klotschkowa - Ukrainian swimmer, four-time Olympic champion in the 200 and 400 meters, silver medalist in the 800 meters. She won 14 medals at World Championships (10 gold and four silver) and 28 at European Championships (14 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze awards).
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Simferopol, moved to Kharkiv in 1997.
In 2001, she graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport. In 2004 - National University of Kyiv for Physical Culture and Sport.
Achievements. She set 50 Ukrainian records in 25 and 50-meter pools over distances of 100, 200, and 400 meters in individual medley swimming, 200, 400, and 800 meters freestyle, 100 and 200 meters backstroke, 200 meters butterfly, and relay swimming. At the Sydney Olympics, she set a world record in the 400 meters individual medley and a European record in the 200 meters individual medley.
The athlete won five Olympic medals, including four golds. She participated in three Summer Olympics - 2000, 2004, and 2008 (did not compete in the latter in Beijing).
Multiple World and European champion.
On March 19, 2009, the multiple Olympic champion announced her retirement from competitive sports.
Her coaches are the honored coach of Ukraine, the esteemed worker of sports Nina Koschuk and her husband Alexander, the honored worker of physical education of Ukraine.
Member of the Presidium of the Swimming Federation of Ukraine.
In 2011, Jana Klotschkowa became the chairwoman of the Kyiv Olympic Committee, resigned in 2012.

Social Activities. Former member of the Kharkiv City Council (2006).
Civic Position. In 2022, she moved to the occupied Crimea. Jana Klotschkowa has never commented on Russia's all-out war against Ukraine.
Private Life. Son Alexander Alexandrovich Klotschkow (born June 21, 2010) from the Georgian athlete and entrepreneur Levan Nodarovich Rostoshvil (born 1983).
The son lives with the parents Klotschkow in Crimea.
Interesting Facts. Jana Klotschkowa has the nickname 'Goldfish'. At her official farewell from sports on March 24, 2009, she symbolically received an aquarium with a goldfish.
