President of the International KVN Association.

On television, Alexander Maslyakov appeared for the first time in 1964 as a student. During his studies, he was actively involved in the KVN team of the institute. 'Once, Pascha Kantor, the team captain, grabbed me in one of the classrooms and said: 'Listen, you will be one of the Five!' And explained that employees of the youth editorial office of Central Television would film an entertainment show. And five students from this university who had recently won in the KVN game would be the hosts,' Maslyakov recalls. After that, he was seen on television for the first time.

After the first recording, the youth editorial office invited the student to host KVN. Until the show's cancellation 'Veselye i nahodchivye' in 1972, he was the undisputed host of the show. This was followed by programs like 'Hello, we are looking for talents', 'Come on, girls', 'Addresses of young people', 'Virage'. Alexander Maslyakov hosted reports from world festivals of youth and students in Sofia, Havana, Berlin, Pyongyang, and Moscow. He served as the long-term host of international song festivals in Sochi for several years. He hosted 'Song of the Year', 'Alexander Show', and many other programs.

As the president of the International KVN Association, Alexander Maslyakov was the head of a large informal youth movement involving tens of thousands of citizens of Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union and abroad. In August 2016, it became known that the creative studio 'AMiK' had submitted documents to the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation to register the trademark 'Alexander Maslyakov'.

On July 1, 2017, the Moscow government dismissed Maslyakov as director of 'MMC Planeta KVN'. This occurred after an investigation by Transparency International, revealing that he handed over the cinema 'Gawana' in Mar'ina roshch' in Moscow to his own creative studio 'AMiK' on behalf of the center 'Planeta KVN'. Initially, the Moscow prosecutor's office found no violations. However, Transparency International challenged this decision with the Attorney General's Office.
