Alexander Shevchuk

Date of Birth: 12.02.1949

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Sokolec in the Nemiw-Nemirowski District of Vinnytsia Oblast. In 1972 he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute ('Technology of Basic Organic and Petrochemical Syntheses', Chemical Engineer-Technologist). 1989 - Kyiv School of Party Work (Specialist in Party and Soviet Construction).

Career. 1972-1975 - Technologist, Deputy Shift Supervisor, Acting Shift Supervisor, Plant Manager of the Kyiv Branch of the State Research Institute for Chlorine Industry.

1975-1977 - Service in the Armed Forces.

1977-1982 - Deputy Head, Acting Head of the Department, Head of Department No. 9 of the Research Plant of the Kyiv Research Branch 'State Research Institute Chlorproject'.

1982-1987 - Instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Industry of the Kyiv City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

1987-1991 - Second Secretary, First Secretary of the Dnipro District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (Kyiv).

From April 1990 to March 1991 - Head of the Dnipro District Council.

From March 1991 to April 1992 - Head of the Dnipro District Council and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Dnipro District Council.

1992-1994 - Representative of the President of Ukraine (Leonid Kravchuk) in the Dnipro District of Kyiv.

1994-1998 - Head of the Dnipro District Council.

1995-2001 - Head of the Dnipro District Administration.

1998-2001 - Head of the Dnipro District Council.

From October 2001 to May 2006 - Head of the Dnipro District Administration.

2007-2010 - Director of Regional Development of the state enterprise 'Leasingtektrans'.

On November 24, 2010, he was appointed Chairman of the City Administration of the Dnipro District in Kyiv by the order of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

In November 2013, Alexander Shevchuk submitted a resignation letter from the position of Chairman of the Dnipro District Administration in Kyiv due to his retirement.

Awards. Honored Worker of the Industry of Ukraine (1997). Awarded the Order of 'For Merits' of the III. (1999) and II. (2003) classes.
