Sviatoslav Anatoliyovych Syrota
Date of Birth: 01.10.1970
Sviatoslav Anatoliyovych Syrota is a Ukrainian footballer and football official. Master of Sports of Ukraine (1995). From 2008 to 2010, he was the president of the Professional Football League of Ukraine.
Place of Birth. Education. Born on October 1, 1970, in Kyiv. In 1994, he graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Physical Education and Sport.
Career. 1987-1998 - player of football clubs 'Dynamo' (Kyiv), 'Veres' (Rivne), 'Dnipro' (Dnipro), 'Gazovik-GAZPROM' (Russia).
In 2001, he became the coach of the Ukrainian youth football team (Kyiv).
In 2002-2004, he was the technical secretary of the Football Federation (Kyiv).
In 2004-2008, he worked as the responsible secretary and executive director of the Professional Football League of Ukraine (PFL).
Since December 2008, he held the position of president of the PFL. On November 25, 2009, at a meeting of the Central Council of the PFL, it was decided to relieve Sviatoslav Syrota of his duties due to the misuse of 2.8 million UAH.
In 2013, he filed a lawsuit with the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv against the PFL. The Pechersk Court and later the Kyiv Court of Appeal upheld Syrota's claims, cancelling the PFL's decision as illegal.
On January 31, 2015, he was elected the first vice-president of the Association of Football Referees of Ukraine.
From June 2015 to June 2016, he worked as the sports director of FC 'Zarya' (Bălți, Moldova). During this time, the team strengthened with good players and for the first time in history won the Moldovan Cup and qualified for the Europa League. In June 2016, he left the Moldovan club.
In August 2016, he was appointed vice-president of FC 'Zugdidi' (Zugdidi, Georgia). In September 2016, he left Georgia as the management of the Georgian team did not decide on his status.
From September 2018 to April 2019, he chaired the supervisory board of MFC 'Prykarpattia.'
Distinctions. Master of Sports of Ukraine in football, two-time bronze medalist of the Ukrainian Championship ('Dnipro').
Film. In 2011, he starred in the film 'Match' - Russia, main role - Sergey Bezrukov. In the film, he played a minor role - the goalkeeper of the German team Flakelf.
