Biography of Ksenia Sobchak
Ksenia Anatolyevna Sobchak was born on November 5, 1981, into the family of Anatoly Alexandrovich Sobchak, a lawyer and head of the city administration of St. Petersburg, and Ludmila Borisovna Narusova, a historian.
In her early childhood, Ksenia devoted herself to ballet at the Mariinsky Theatre and painting at the Hermitage. In middle school, focusing on the study of the English language, she attended Middle School No. 185. After that, she graduated from the Russian State Pedagogical University at Herzen.
In 1998, she was admitted to the Faculty of International Relations at St. Petersburg State University and transferred to the MGIMO Faculty of International Relations in Moscow in 2000. In 2002, she earned a bachelor's degree and graduated with honors from her master's program at MGIMO in political science in 2004. She is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
Since 2004, Ksenia Sobchak has hosted the show 'Dom-2' on the TNT channel. She has also hosted shows such as 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire', 'The Last Hero-6', 'Two Stars', 'Blondie in Chocolate', and 'Top Model in Russian'.
In 2011, she hosted the show 'Let's Get Married' on Ukrainian television. She also hosts her radio show 'Barabaka's Weekdays' on the Silver Rain radio station and the program 'Barabaka and the Gray Wolf' on the same radio station.
Ksenia Sobchak is also active in journalism. She was the editor-in-chief of the magazines SNC and L'Officiel. She has also written books such as 'Stylish Things', 'How to Marry an Oligarch', 'The Fool's Encyclopedia', and 'Philosophy in the Boudoir'.
After the 2011 State Duma elections, Sobchak supported protests against vote rigging. She has also participated in demonstrations and publicly expressed her displeasure with the political regime.
In 2017, Ksenia Sobchak announced her candidacy for the presidency of Russia. She is politically active and plans to participate in the elections.
In her personal life, Ksenia Sobchak had relationships with Ilya Yashin before marrying actor Maxim Vitorgan. They have a son named Platon. Later, Sobchak married theater director Konstantin Bogomolov.
On March 18, 2018, Ksenia Sobchak finished fourth in the presidential elections in Russia, receiving 1.68% of the votes.
