Igor Pawłowicz Woronin - former chairman of the board of PAO 'Ukrgaz-Energo'.

Place of birth. Education. Born in Kyiv. In 1992 graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Doctor of Economic Sciences.

Career. Until 2001, he worked at the Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange.

From 2001 to 2002, he worked in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as an assistant to the First Deputy Prime Minister (Oleg Dubyna).

Since April 2002 - Deputy Chairman of the Board of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy.

From April 2002 to March 2005, he headed the foreign trade block of Naftogaz. Since April 2005, he supervised relations with the Russian Federation.

Supervised Naftogaz Ukraine's policy regarding the acquisition of external loans and foreign investment projects, natural gas exports, and cooperation with foreign fuel suppliers.

Under Igor Woronin's direct supervision, Naftogaz Ukraine first consolidated its financial statements (for the years 2001-2003) in accordance with international standards and underwent an audit involving international auditing firms.

On February 2, 2006, he was appointed chairman of the board of PAO 'Ukrgaz-Energo' by the shareholders' meeting (at the request of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy). The founders of the company are Naftogaz Ukraine and Rosukrenergo (each holding 50% of the shares). The latter equally owns shares with Gazprom and the Austrian company Centragas Holding AG (90% of Centragas AG shares belong to Group DF, whose chairman of the board is and key owner is Ukrainian businessman, billionaire Dmytro Firtash). After the liquidation of Rosukrenergo in 2015, Gazprom's share in Ukrgaz-Energo was transferred to Centragas Holding Limited (Cyprus). Centragas owns 50% in Ukrgaz-Energo. The remaining 50% of the shares have been transferred to Naftogaz and their ownership is disputed. In 2017, The Economic Court of Kyiv initiated bankruptcy proceedings for Ukrgaz-Energo.
