Taras Topolia revealed the amount for the restoration of the apartment after the rocket attack: 2 million.
According to ТСН: The leader of the band 'Antytila' Taras Topolia talked about the expenses for the restoration of the apartment that was damaged due to shelling. A few months ago, the building where the musician lives was damaged by an enemy attack: a missile hit the neighboring high-rise building, and the blast wave damaged Topolia's apartment.
Amount of Expenses
In the project '33 Questions', Topolia mentioned that together with his ex-wife Olena, they spent about two million hryvnias on restoration. They used their own savings and received support from parents and friends.
“Approximately, somewhere around 2 million hryvnias. I couldn’t raise funds relative to the grief that people have, and I never planned to. Friends helped us, we had some savings, parents helped, and we collectively restored,” - the artist shared.
Lucky that no one was injured
Taras also noted that his family was lucky, as no one among the relatives was harmed, and the children were not at home during the shelling.
“We were lucky. The most important thing is that the children are alive. Fortunately, they were not home at that moment; circumstances worked out that way. Across from our house is a 'Khrushchyovka', where the missile hit directly. It is about 20 meters from our windows. We live on the 5th floor, and just in front of our floor is the roof of that Khrushchyovka. And opposite our windows, the entire entrance was demolished. People died there, many were injured, others were left without homes altogether...,” - the artist admitted.
We remind you that recently Taras and Olena Topolia announced their decision to divorce. They have already applied to the court, and it became known who is the initiator of this process.
This story once again highlights how the war affects the ordinary lives of Ukrainians. The loss of housing and the emotional burden associated with the terrible consequences of shelling have become a reality for many families, even for public figures. The support of friends and relatives, as Topolia noted, is an important aspect of recovery after tragedies.
