The government fixed the electricity price until 2026: how much Ukrainians will now pay.
According to ТСН: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established a unified price for electricity - 4.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour, which will remain unchanged until April 30, 2026.
Until the end of the heating season, which also lasts until April 30, 2026, Ukrainians using electric heating systems will be able to take advantage of preferential conditions.
For consumption up to 2000 kWh per month, the tariff will be reduced - 2.64 UAH/kWh. For volumes exceeding this limit, the standard price will apply - 4.32 UAH/kWh.
Some categories of the population are eligible for discounts on electricity payments ranging from 25% to 100%. Benefits are available for persons with disabilities, combatants, pensioners in rural areas, and other socially vulnerable groups.
Reducing electricity costs
Ukrainians can also reduce their electricity costs by installing a dual-zone meter. During the night period - from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM - a reduced tariff applies, which is 2.16 UAH per kWh.
Previous reports indicated that after the end of martial law in Ukraine, the electricity tariff will be increased gradually. For businesses, prices may increase in two stages in 2026. The same approach is planned to be applied to the population after the war ends.
These government decisions are aimed at supporting Ukrainians during difficult times, considering the consequences of the war and the economic situation. Preferential tariffs and discounts will help reduce the financial burden on households and socially vulnerable groups of the population, which is an important step in ensuring energy stability in the country.
