New Gas Tariffs Effective June 1, 2026

According to Novyny.live: Gas suppliers have unveiled their pricing plans starting June 1, 2026. For the vast majority of consumers, the cost remains steady at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. This rate, set for the state-owned Naftogaz of Ukraine, will also apply to Ternopiloblhaz Zbut.

According to the published data, more than 12 million households—roughly 98% of all residential gas users in Ukraine—can take advantage of this rate. Naftogaz's tariff is guaranteed at least through the end of April 2027. The natural gas market for households currently features eight companies, each offering distinct pricing options.

Rates from Other Providers

Among the companies that have set their own tariffs are:

  • Prykarpat Enerho Treid: 7.98 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • Halnaftohaz (OKKO Contract): 7.99 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • Lvivenerhozbut: annual plan at 8.20 hryvnias per cubic meter, monthly plan at 28.00 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • YASNO: both annual and monthly tariffs at 8.46 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • Retail Service LLC: annual plan at 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter, monthly plan at 28.49 hryvnias per cubic meter.

It is worth noting that the electricity tariff for households remains unchanged at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. Additionally, there is growing concern over a potential water rate hike in Zaporizhzhia, where costs could jump from 28.37 hryvnias to 69.37 hryvnias per cubic meter.

Overall, the latest gas tariff adjustments will not significantly impact most Ukrainian consumers, though the broader energy market continues to be closely monitored.

The approval of new gas tariffs marks a critical step, as the majority of Ukrainian households can avoid financial strain from rising energy prices.

Meanwhile, stable electricity prices and the potential increase in water tariffs highlight the need for ongoing market oversight to prevent adverse effects on the population.
