TV presenter Senichkin apologized for obscene language on air (video).
Ukrainian presenter Ruslan Senichkin apologized for using obscene language during a live broadcast.
The presenter, speaking about the renaming of Kyiv's streets, expressed his thoughts using obscene words.
Senichkin acknowledges that he did not notice the moment when the production team warned him about the live broadcast. He understands that such behavior is unacceptable.
«I was just discussing the story with colleagues. If I had known it was a live broadcast, I would have said the same thing, but without obscene words. But I am really outraged by the situation with the renaming of streets and I urge people to consider this more broadly, deeply, to be smart, far-sighted. In the end, be interested in history. Not the one that the Soviet Union wrote for us in textbooks», – said Senichkin.
The TV presenter added that each of us should be as conscious as possible and not give any chance for Russian propaganda to influence us.
Senichkin understands why the older generations are supporters of preserving memories of Russian writers in the public space.
«They do not want to give up what they are used to, what they have lived with all these years. And it is hard to give up what they have believed in all their lives. All these are signs of the Russian Empire. And when we doubt whether to keep the signs of the empire on the streets of our cities, we risk our future, the future of our children», – emphasized Senichkin.
Recall that Ukrainian singer Khrystyna Soloviy, who recently used obscene language on stage in Odesa about the old name of the city, made a joke about this situation. The corresponding statement was published by H. Khrystyna Soloviy will face trial for her words at a concert in Odesa. After the performance of singer Khrystyna Soloviy in Odesa, local residents contacted the police, accusing the artist of disturbing public order and using obscene language.
