The trend is like this – they are trying to take us out. The coach from Russia commented on the exclusion of Russians from the Olympics.
The famous figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova expressed her opinion on the absence of Russian athletes at the Olympics-2026. She noted that currently only figure skaters, speed skaters, short-trackers, and ski mountaineers from Russia have the opportunity to participate in these competitions.
“The trend is like this – they are trying to take us out,” Tarasova commented in an interview with Russian media, responding to a question about the reasons for the exclusion of Russians from the Olympics-2026.
The actions of Russian speed skater Ksenia Korzhova, recognized by the International Skating Union (ISU) as a neutral athlete, violated the neutrality regime. It turned out that she supported the sanctioned individual of dictator Putin, gymnast Nikita Nagorny, who is under sanctions from several countries and organizations for his open support of Russian aggression against Ukraine. Korzhova was noted for liking posts that expressed support for Putin, Russian servicemen, and the 'Yunarmiya' organization.
Additional groups of Russian athletes were excluded from the Olympics-2026, and one of the athletes remains directly on the front lines in the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, supporting Putin's regime.
