Tishchenko in a kimono, Klopotenko in a skirt. Social media surprised by the outfits on Embroidery Day.

Embroidery Day: Ukrainian celebrities in unconventional outfits
Ukrainian celebrities and politicians impressed the audience with unusual outfits during the celebration of Embroidery Day. Their attire was original and different from traditional ones. Special attention was drawn by chef, restaurateur, and blogger Yevhen Klopotenko, who chose a skirt, as well as member of parliament Mykola Tishchenko, who wore a kimono over an embroidered shirt. This was reported by the publication 'Hlavkom'.
Klopotenko shared his look on social media. He was dressed in a blue embroidered shirt and a blue skirt. In his greeting, he noted: 'I believe that we no longer only wear embroidered shirts for holidays – and this is incredible. Hundreds of companies are reviving and creating them. Finally, Ukrainian style has become fashionable.'
This eccentric outfit of a skirt and embroidered shirt chosen by Klopotenko sparked lively discussions online. Users considered his attire unconventional, but there were also those who liked the idea.
Mykola Tishchenko also published his unusual look on social media. He wore a white kimono over an embroidered shirt.
Feedback on Tishchenko's outfit was mixed, with many believing that the look was not very successful, as the traditional Ukrainian clothing was hidden under the kimono. The public highlighted the inadequacy of such a combination and expressed their opinions online.
The band Ziferblat, representing Ukraine at 'Eurovision-2025' in Basel, also joined the celebration of Embroidery Day along with the Ukrainian diaspora. All musicians were dressed in embroidered shirts from the Ukrainian brand Etnodim. This event highlighted support and pride for national traditions.
The portal 'Hlavkom' prepared a selection of looks of celebrities and politicians for Embroidery Day. Special attention is deserved by the selection of looks of the Zelensky family, who have shown respect for Ukrainian culture over the past five years by appearing in traditional embroidered shirts on this festive day.
With each passing day, traditional Ukrainian clothing is becoming increasingly popular among citizens, indicating the spread and support of Ukrainian traditions and culture in society.
