Coach Kieran Farrell left Daniel Dubois's team after losing to Oleksandr Usyk
British coach Kieran Farrell, who helped Daniel Dubois journey from a promising rookie to world champion, announced his departure from the team after the athlete's loss in the title fight against Ukrainian Usyk.
During 18 months of working together, Farrell helped Dubois earn victories over strong opponents, bringing global attention and the IBF title. However, following the rematch with Usyk, in which Dubois suffered a knockout, outside changes in the team became inevitable.
Reason for Dubois's coach's departure
Kieran Farrell emphasized that he is proud of the achievements made together with Dubois and wished him success in the future, despite his departure from the team.
'I made the decision to leave Daniel's team. In 18 months we achieved incredible things, including that night at Wembley that will remain in memory forever. Helping him become a champion was truly a meaningful and valuable experience. I wish him all the best going forward,'- said the coach.
