Usyk vs New Tyson: Is the 20-Year-Old Brit Ready for a Fight with the Champion

The media is discussing a possible match between 39-year-old undisputed world champion from Ukraine Oleksandr Usyk and 20-year-old British boxer Moses Itaumi. Investors from Saudi Arabia are pushing this idea.

Famous American coach Abel Sanchez shared his thoughts on the potential match between Usyk and Itaumi. He believes that Itaumi does not yet have enough experience and readiness for such a meeting, especially after the fight with Dillian Whyte scheduled for August 16. Sanchez is convinced that Itaumi needs to have a few fights before stepping into the ring with Usyk.

The coach noted that Moses is moving in the direction of potentially beating Usyk if the opportunity arises. However, he needs to gain more experience before such an important fight.

Furthermore, Sanchez emphasized Usyk's professional growth, who surprised the world with his victory over Murat Gassiev.

It is worth noting that Ukrainian sambists previously defeated Russians in three finals of the World Games 2025. Additionally, Tyson Fury called Usyk a great boxer, and the star boxer from the 90s expressed a desire to fight Usyk after 20 years in prison.

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk may meet British boxer Moses Itaumi, but coaches believe that the young athlete still needs to gain experience before such an important fight.
