The head coach of the women's national football team of Ukraine assessed the situation in the team before the Nations League matches.
The Ukrainian national team is preparing for important matches in the Nations League
The head coach of the women's national team of Ukraine, Volodymyr Pyatenko, shares his thoughts on the team's readiness for the matches against the Czech Republic. After two rounds, our team is in second place in group B4, having defeated Albania and Croatia with a score of 2:1.
Soon, the team will meet with the Czech Republic, which is leading the group, having won with a score of 9:1. Pyatenko claims that our team is preparing for the game taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of the opponents. Losses in the squad will not change the game strategy, and the players will diligently substitute for each other and remain committed on the field.
Although the new coach of the Czech Republic has not yet changed the team's style, there are certain nuances that our national team is preparing for. The next matches will take place in April. In order to expand their opportunities, our team must take first place in the group or defeat the third team from Division A in the playoffs. These matches are of great importance, especially for Liubov Shmatko, who will not be able to play due to the death of her brother in the war.
