According to The Sun: The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has suspended over a thousand players due to an investigation into a large-scale betting scheme. A total ban has been imposed on 1,024 players in connection with suspicions of match-fixing.
- Among them are 27 players from Turkey's top division.
This step aims to support integrity in sporting competitions.
These sanctions reflect the seriousness of the situation with match-fixing, which poses a threat to the integrity of the sport. TFF continues its investigation, trying to ensure fair conditions on the country's football fields. The results of this investigation could significantly affect the future activities of both the players and the football clubs.
