A Ukrainian man was convicted in a case of arson of commercial real estate in London, for which a British court decided to sentence him. According to a statement from Reuters, a British citizen received money from a foreign intelligence service for carrying out this crime.

The young man pleaded guilty to arson on industrial land in East London in March. Another suspect, 20-year-old Dylan Earl, also admitted his guilt in committing this crime. The uncovering of one of the undercover workers helped prevent a huge disaster.

Reuters reports that the arson was committed on business premises connected to Ukraine. Furthermore, charges were also brought under the new British National Security Act (NSA), as those guilty received financial benefits from a foreign intelligence service.

Details of the case against Reeves have not been disclosed, but in April it was reported that Dylan Earl was acting on behalf of Russia. The trial for these charges is set to take place in June 2025, after which a verdict will be pronounced.

Arson in Poland

It should be noted that a citizen of Ukraine was detained in Poland, suspected of setting fire to a factory. According to the investigation, this man planned to commit arson at a paint factory in Wrocław.

The Polish Minister of Digitalization reported that special services managed to uncover a group of saboteurs from Russia and Belarus. Their goal was to steal information from the systems of government bodies and local self-government for further blackmail.

A saboteur was also detained who was preparing a series of arsons at the facilities of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' in Kyiv and set fire to a relay cabinet at a railway station.
