FIFA asks Ronaldo to participate in the Club World Cup
According to Marca, FIFA expressed the desire for Cristiano Ronaldo, a player of 'Al-Nassr' football club, to take part in the Club World Cup in the USA.
"Movement in this direction is not ruled out," is cited in the source.
It is worth noting that 'Al-Nassr' itself will not participate in the specified tournament. The Club World Cup will take place in the USA from June 14 to July 13, 2025. A total of 32 teams are planned to participate, and the final will be held at 'MetLife Stadium' in New Jersey.
According to the information, the winner of the tournament will earn about $125 million. The total prize pool will amount to $1 billion, including $475 million for sporting achievements and $525 million for participation.
- For winning the group, the club will receive $2 million,
- For a draw - $1 million,
- Advancing to the Round of 16 - $7.5 million,
- In the semifinals - $21 million.
The finalist teams will receive an additional $30 million, and the winner will get a whopping $40 million.
Thus, FIFA expressed the desire to see Cristiano Ronaldo at the Club World Cup in the USA, offering a significant prize pool for the participants.
