Do the French not want to see Russians?.
As it became known, visa requirements for Russians in France will be tightened. Visa centers will charge Russian citizens additional fees. It is about the prepayment for the appointment.
To submit documents to the VFS Global Visa Center, you need to make an appointment in advance. Before making an appointment, you need to fill out a visa application form online on the official French website France-Visas.
When making an appointment, a Russian citizen must pay almost 40 euros. These restrictions are added to those that were introduced back in September 2022. Back then, the French extended the entire visa process specifically for Russian citizens. They had to wait for more than 45 days to get a visa.

Russians also cannot get a Schengen visa in many countries. It is about Finland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Poland. Additionally, visa restrictions are tightened in Germany too.
