Active battles continue on the front line
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported increasing tensions on the front line as of October 6, 2024, at 16:00.
Russian invaders continue to conduct offensive actions in several directions, but Ukrainian defenders successfully repel their attacks and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
In the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, enemy forces shell settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation. Artillery and mortar shelling of Oleksandrivka and Maiske has been recorded. Russians also carried out 6 airstrikes, using 7 guided bombs, on several settlements. In addition, 11 airstrikes with 16 guided bombs were recorded in the Kursk region of Russia.
In the Kharkiv direction, there were 5 enemy attacks near Starytsya and Vovchansk. In the Kupyansk direction, there were also 3 attacks, one of which is still ongoing. Airstrikes were recorded in the areas of Zeleny Hai and Pershotravneve.
The most active situation is on the Lyman direction, where the enemy made 14 attempts to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Kramatorsk direction, 3 attacks were repelled. In the Toretsk direction, besides airstrikes, there were 8 ground attacks recorded.
In the Pokrovske direction, 10 enemy attacks were recorded, and in the Kurakhove direction - 9. In the Vremivka direction, besides airstrikes, 3 assaults on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were conducted. In the Prydniprovske direction, 2 attacks were repelled.
In other sectors of the front line, the situation remains without significant changes. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line and inflict losses on the enemy.
