In Italy, Abdrazakov's concert was canceled due to support for Putin.
According to inkorr.com: The Verona Philharmonic Theatre canceled the performance of Russian opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov in the opera 'Don Giovanni'. According to the 'Arena di Verona' foundation, the reason for this step lies in his propaganda activities.
Italy's Minister of Culture Alessandro Julian noted: 'Art is always welcomed when it is a means of dialogue and peace between nations. However, this does not apply to situations where it serves as an instrument of the propaganda of a despotic regime.'
The campaign against the artist's performance was initiated on November 4 by the Italian association Liberi Oltre le Illusioni. With the support of European Parliament Vice President Pina Piceno, other concerts of the singer were also canceled, including one in Caserta.
Ildar Abdrazakov is a supporter of Putin and manages a theater in occupied Crimea. His activities have led to numerous cancellations of performances in various countries.
Currently, Ildar Abdrazakov finds himself in an undesirable position for performances in Italy due to his propaganda, which has sparked protests from local cultural organizations. The ban on his performances in Europe further complicates his career and shows how political views influence reputation in the arts.
