According to inkorr.com: The 16th Odesa International Film Festival (OIFF) started on Wednesday, September 24, in Kyiv and will last until October 4. The hosts of the opening were TV presenters Dasha Trepova, Lyudmyla Barbir, and Yana Brenzey. Among the special guests of the festival was the defender of Ukraine and innovative bandurist Ivan Tkalenko, who managed to combine traditional sounds of the bandura with electronic music and innovative acoustic effects. Additionally, during the ceremony, singer Olya Tsibulskaya performed, raising the energy of the event with her ballet.
Support for Ukrainian Cinema
General Director of OIFF Anna Machukh noted that the festival has been an important cultural event for Ukraine for many years and is held in Kyiv for security reasons. President of OIFF Victoria Tigipko emphasized the significance of Ukrainian cinema as a voice of truth and resilience on the international stage.
