Analysts and intelligence experts warn that foreign states may attempt to undermine the US presidential elections after the hacking of the email system of representatives of Donald Trump's team by hackers working for Iran. This was reported by the Washington Post.

Two Democratic members of the House of Representatives, who worked on intelligence and security committees, are demanding briefings and the declassification of information on possible foreign interference in the elections.

The statement from Trump's campaign office was made after they received a request from the media regarding an internal review document of the vice-presidential candidate Jay D. Vance that was sent to the editorial office.

US authorities did not confirm the fact of an intrusion into the campaign's email. Trump's team also did not provide corroborating evidence.

Recall, Donald Trump's campaign office reported their computers were hacked. The office suggested that Iranian figures were involved in the theft and dissemination of confidential documents but did not provide concrete evidence. This statement was made the day after Microsoft's report, which mentioned attempts by foreign agents to interfere in the 2024 US election campaign.
