In Moscow, dozens of migrants received draft notices after the raid.
After the conducted raid in Moscow, dozens of migrants were handed draft notices to military commissariats. This information was provided by the publication "Meduza".
It is noted that military investigators in Moscow conducted a raid, resulting in the issuance of draft notices to dozens of migrants who received Russian citizenship, for registration with the military.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts raids in places where migrants who have not registered after obtaining Russian citizenship might live or work. The results of such raids reported that those who came for a draft notice to the military commissariat were sent to military service and forced to sign a contract.
These raids and other measures are the result of a law passed by the State Duma at the end of July. This law obliges foreigners who obtain a Russian passport to register for military service.
Recall that on July 31, the State Duma of the Russian Federation approved a bill that provides for the deprivation of citizenship in case of failure to appear for military service. The co-author of the bill was State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, which indicates Kremlin support for this initiative.
Earlier, British intelligence reported on the recruitment of Africans into the Russian army.
