Sun halo over Lviv

According to ТСН: On Wednesday, a unique optical phenomenon – a sun halo, reminiscent of a glowing nimbus around the sun – was observed over Lviv.

Locals actively shared photos of this celestial phenomenon on social networks.

A halo is formed by the refraction and reflection of light as it passes through ice crystals in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Experts note that, although halos can be observed in Ukraine up to 120 times a year, they are usually difficult to detect. Nevertheless, Lviv residents witnessed a radiant type of halo that appears only 10-20 times a year.

A unique natural phenomenon in the Odessa region

Additionally, a record early bloom of late Ankara leaves (local name – Branduschka) was noted in the National Nature Park 'Tuzlivske Lymany' in the Odessa region. Scientists link this to anomalous changes in nature.

It was previously reported that in early November, an anomalous bloom of wild plums was observed in the 'Tuzlivske Lymany' park.

Such natural phenomena like the sun halo and early blooming indicate changes in climatic conditions. Their observation could be an important indicator for scientists studying the effects of global warming on Ukraine's ecosystems.
