The National Guard explains how the enemy is attempting to advance into the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Russian military forces have reinforced their offensive actions in the Vozdvizhenska area with the aim of reaching the Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka highway and advancing towards the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Vitalii Lytvyn, commander of the artillery reconnaissance battalion of the separate artillery brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, reported this during a telethon.
According to Lytvyn, in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has concentrated on bypassing the settlements of Kotlyne and Udachne, trying to maintain the intensity of the offensive operations.
'They are storming from the direction of Vozdvizhenska to reach the Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka highway, and from the direction of Kotlyne-Udachne, they are trying to move towards the Dnipropetrovsk region with a subsequent exit to the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway to encircle these settlements,' Lytvyn explained.
The commander also reported that Ukrainian forces are focused on detecting and destroying enemy artillery systems that support Russian assault groups.
According to him, currently, the artillery reconnaissance battalion units keep UAVs in the air, 'when they detect artillery systems or when they move to the reconnaissance area and identify the movements of assault groups or enemy equipment, our artillery systems immediately destroy them.'
