UNHCR Launches Cash Assistance in Poltava Region: Payouts Starting at 10,800 UAH.
Financial Support from UNHCR Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: In June 2026, several cities in the Poltava region will begin offering financial assistance through a program run by UNHCR Ukraine. This initiative is designed to support individuals who have been forced to flee due to life-threatening circumstances. Eligible applicants can receive different amounts depending on their displacement category and how recently they moved. The program is available in Poltava, Hadiach, Lubny, and Myrhorod.
To qualify, a household’s average monthly income per person must not exceed 8,300 UAH. The exact payout depends on the duration of displacement:
- 10,800 UAH for refugees who have returned home within the last three months;
- 12,300 UAH for displaced individuals who relocated within the past 45 days;
- 12,300 UAH for internally displaced persons who fled due to life-threatening danger between 46 days and six months ago.
Registration Process
To apply for this financial aid, individuals must complete a dedicated application form. In addition, original documents must be submitted, including:
- a national passport;
- a taxpayer identification code;
- an internally displaced person certificate;
- children’s birth certificates;
- a bank card;
- disability documentation.
The program aims to assist people facing severe hardships as a result of conflicts and other threats that forced them to leave their homes. By offering this support in multiple cities, UNHCR Ukraine is working to ensure that vulnerable populations have access to critical resources during a challenging time.
This launch marks a significant step in aiding those who have endured the difficulties of displacement due to conflict. Many individuals have had to abandon their homes out of fear for their safety, and this cash assistance can help ease their immediate burdens. The rollout across several towns underscores a commitment to reaching those most in need.
