In the port of the Netherlands, over 700 kg of cocaine found among bananas from Ecuador.
Dutch customs discovered 720 kilograms of cocaine among bananas
Customs officials from the Netherlands found 720 kilograms of cocaine hidden among a shipment of bananas from Ecuador in the port of Vlissingen. This was reported by the NOS publication.
«In the shipment of bananas from Ecuador, customs officials found 720 kilograms of cocaine. The drugs were discovered during a routine inspection in the port of Vlissingen», – the report states.
The estimated value of the confiscated cocaine is around €54 million. The drugs are currently being destroyed.
According to NOS, this is not the first Time cocaine from Ecuador has been found in the port of Vlissingen.
Customs officials previously seized 600 kilograms of drugs last month and over 3600 kilograms in June. The last confiscated cocaine, estimated at €270 million, is the largest drug seizure in Zeeland this year.
The State Customs Service of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian customs officials prevented the smuggling of the 16th series of 'iPhone' smartphones.
Earlier, the National Police reported that a 22-year-old grandson and his grandfather were engaged in drug trafficking in the Odesa region, selling them disguised as children's toys.
Additionally, border guards of the Chop detachment and tax service officials detected an attempt to illegally transport a large quantity of cigarettes across the border at the 'Uzhhorod' checkpoint.
