Military personnel from North Korea are conducting demining near the Ukrainian border

According to inkorr.com: In the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine, about 10,000 North Korean troops are stationed. They are not participating in combat actions against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but are engaged in clearing areas where fighting previously occurred. This information was provided by journalists from The Telegraph through the 'Glavkom' portal.

According to the publication's data, North Korean soldiers are working on demining in the Kursk and Belgorod regions where Ukrainian forces were previously located. Russian media reported that many mines remained in these areas, significantly complicating the return of civilians due to the danger of unexploded threats.

“The significant role of North Korea in Russia's demining operations highlights the desire of both sides to continue developing their military ties, as stated last month by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, 'will advance without stopping', notes The Telegraph.

In addition to demining work, North Korean military personnel are receiving training from their Russian colleagues and are learning combat experience through various technologies.

Enhancement of North Korea's military capabilities

According to estimates from Ukrainian intelligence, after six months of combat actions in Ukraine, North Korea has significantly improved its military capabilities. In particular, the country’s army has increased the accuracy of its ballistic missiles, refined its drones, and ramped up the production of modern weapons with the help of Russian scientists.

Previously, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un promised full support to Russia, in response, Russian dictator Putin praised the North Korean soldiers fighting against Ukraine.

Continuing their activities, more than 10,000 North Korean troops remain in Russian territory near the Ukrainian border, performing security functions in cooperation with Russia.

Thus, North Korean forces are actively engaged in demining the territory at the border with Ukraine, receiving training from Russian military and improving their capabilities. It is worth noting that after the war in Ukraine, the North Korean army has enhanced its technologies, which may significantly impact the geopolitical situation in the region.
