Mass poisoning of aircraft factory employees in Russia.
In Bashkiria, a mass poisoning event occurred among aircraft factory workers, resulting in at least 20 people being affected, with 14 people hospitalized. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria.
According to the information, employees of the food unit at the ODK-UMPO enterprise contracted a norovirus infection. The infection hotspots were the canteen and the buffets.
14 affected individuals were hospitalized, and their condition is assessed as moderate. In this regard, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated a criminal case.
The ODK-UMPO company specializes in the development, production, and repair of aircraft engines, as well as gas compressor units and helicopter technology.
Previously, there were reports of a child being poisoned by a death cap mushroom in Ukraine and an outbreak of diseases in the USA caused by E. coli.
There have also been cases of botulism recorded in Ukraine, and the chief sanitary doctor warned about a potential pandemic of several diseases including measles, influenza, poliomyelitis, and cholera.
