In the house where the metropolitan was born, his relatives now live, avoiding communication with journalists. Previously, Onufriy often visited the temple in the neighboring village of Berezhonka, where his father served and was buried. After his death, believers of the PCU now pray in this temple.
The Security Service reported the deprivation of Onufriy’s Ukrainian citizenship by the decision of President Zelensky. The metropolitan himself claims that he did not apply to other countries for citizenship but holds an official Russian passport. Several local residents of Korytne expressed different opinions regarding this situation.
