A fire broke out at the fiber optic plant in Saransk after a drone strike.
On April 5, a drone attack occurred at a fiber optic manufacturing plant in the city of Saransk, Russia. Local residents heard explosions and saw drones attacking the plant, resulting in a fire.
The affected plant is part of the Russian enterprise 'Optical Fiber Systems' and specializes in the production of optical fibers and cables for telecommunication infrastructure. It is also known that the Russian army uses drones on fiber optics.
This is not the first case of drone attacks in Russia. Recently, an incident with explosions caused by drone attacks occurred in the city of Lipetsk. Drones attacked a metallurgical plant that produces steel with a polymer coating.
Similar incidents have occurred in the cities of Kursk and Petrozavodsk, where drones attacked cities and plants, causing fires and injuries.
These events indicate a growing use of drones in attacks. Authorities need to ensure safety and protection against such attacks.
