Ukraine – Brazil: where to watch the live broadcast of the Futsal World Cup semi-final.

Today, October 2, the Ukrainian national futsal team will play against Brazil in the Futsal World Cup semi-final match. The meeting begins at 18:00 Kyiv Time.

The Ukraine - Brazil game will be broadcast live on local public television channels (Suspilne Kyiv, Suspilne Kherson, etc.), as well as on the Suspilne Sport TV channel and YouTube channel.

Ukraine can also set a national record if they defeat Brazil. So far, our national team has only once reached the semi-finals of the World Cup: at their first tournament in 1996, where they finished fourth.

Recall, in the 1/4 finals of the World Cup, Ukraine defeated the national team of Venezuela. The match in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) ended with a score of 9:4. 

In the 5th minute of the meeting, Danilo Abakshin put Ukraine ahead after a pass from Ihor Korsun. However, the Venezuelans equalized the score the next minute thanks to a goal from Francia.

In the 14th minute, the «blue-yellows» took the lead again – Petro Shoturma scored after a pass from Ihor Cherniavskyi.

Then two minutes later the Ukrainians scored the third goal – Abakshin successfully converted the rebound after the Venezuelan goalkeeper parried a shot from Rostyslav Semenchenko.

However, less than a minute later Venezuela equalized – first Viamonte scored one-on-one with the Ukrainian goalkeeper after a mistake by Abakshin, then Vidal scored with a one-touch shot after a throw-in.

Nevertheless, Ukraine went into the break as leaders. In the 18th minute, Abakshin completed a hat-trick, and in the last 20th minute of the first half, Nazar Shved struck powerfully under the crossbar after a corner pass.

Already in the first minute of the second half Ukraine scored the sixth goal against Venezuela – Semenchenko scored after a pass from Abakshin.

In the 27th minute of the match, Oleksandr Kosenko's team scored for the seventh time against the South Americans – Ukrainian goalkeeper Oleksandr Sukhov dribbled from his half and scored accurately into the top corner.

In the 30th minute, Morillo scored the fourth goal against Ukraine, but two minutes later Cherniavskyi scored and restored our team's four-goal advantage.

In the 38th minute, the Ukrainians scored their ninth goal – Mykola Mykytiuk hit an empty Venezuelan net after a pass from Abakshin.

Brazil defeated Morocco in the quarter-finals – 3:1.

As reported, the Ukrainian futsal team started with a win in the 2024 World Cup playoffs. The «blue-yellows» defeated the Netherlands.

In the sixth minute of the first half, the Ukrainian national team opened the scoring. Mykhaylo Zvarych put the ball into the empty net after a goal pass from Danylo Abakshin. The Dutch responded sharply towards the end of the 20-minute period – the post saved Ukraine from conceding a goal.

In the second half, the Netherlands equalized. However, the «blue-yellows» needed only two minutes to take the lead again. Shortly after coming off the bench, Andriy Melnyk became the goal-scorer with a shot from a sharp angle – 2:1.

Melnyk set the final score in the last minute of regular time – he struck the net during the goalkeeper's substitution, completed a brace, and sealed the 3:1 victory.

Recall, the Ukrainian futsal team secured their first victory in the Futsal World Cup. In the second round, the Ukrainians thrashed Angola's team – 7:2.

On September 21, the Ukrainian national futsal team achieved their second victory in the World Cup, beating Afghanistan's team 4:1. This result guaranteed the «blue-yellows» a place in the tournament playoffs.
