According to Novyny.live: The ski jumping events at the Olympic Games have concluded, marking a historic first for Ukraine with its participation in the new team competition. This inaugural team event saw 17 national teams compete in a three-round format, with the top 12 teams advancing after the first round and the top 8 moving on after the second.
Representing Ukraine were athletes Yevhen Marusiak and Vitalii Kalinichenko. Marusiak recorded a jump of 128.5 meters, earning 117.7 points, while Kalinichenko achieved a distance of 114 meters for 90 points. Despite their efforts, the Ukrainian team's overall standing slipped from 13th to 14th place. Ski jumping is a traditional strength for several Central and Northern European nations, making Ukraine's debut a significant step.
Competition Results
The Austrian team claimed the gold medal in the team event, with Poland taking silver and Norway earning bronze. These results highlight the intense competition and high skill level among the participating nations.
