Ukraine learned its opponents for Euro-2026 in handball.
The Ukrainian national handball team learned about its opponents at the Euro-2026 championship after the draw that took place on May 15. A total of 24 teams participated in the draw: 20 of them qualified, while the tournament hosts were already reserved.
The Ukrainian team found itself in Group C along with France, Norway, and the Czech Republic. The European Championship will take place in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, starting on January 15, 2026.
What is known about Ukraine's handball opponents
France is the reigning European champion and a three-time Olympic champion. Norway has some experience in international competitions, while the Czech Republic traditionally participates in the European handball championship. The Ukrainian team returns to the tournament after a certain break, keeping its place in the rankings.
