The Ukrainian government received the largest investment in history, 4.8 billion dollars, from the World Bank. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. This amount is being invested as part of the PEACE project aimed at supporting reforms, social and educational spheres, healthcare, agricultural producers, and recovery projects.
According to Shmyhal, during the full-scale war, Ukraine has attracted approximately 50 billion dollars through World Bank mechanisms. The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the United States and development partners for financial support within the PEACE project and thanked the World Bank for its sustainable and active contribution to initiatives that strengthen Ukraine.
