Ukraine's national team ranks among the top three at the World Games 2025: a historic record.
The World Games 2025 have concluded in Chengdu, China. The national team of Ukraine finished among the top three strongest countries in the world, confirming its high sporting prowess.
On the final day, Ukrainian athletes won four medals in powerlifting. Konstantin Musienko earned gold, Daria Rusanenko and Volodymyr Rusyev won silver, while Oleksiy Bychkov took bronze.
Ukraine's historic achievement
Ukraine topped the medal table in powerlifting for the third consecutive time, winning 10 medals in this sport. Currently, the country has a total of 44 medals, of which 16 are gold, indicating the overall success of the sports team at the World Games.
Ukrainian athletes impress not only in powerlifting but also in such disciplines as sambo, sports acrobatics, kickboxing, and rowing. This once again confirms the high sporting level of the country.
- Powerlifting - 10 medals (2 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze), 1st place;
- Sports acrobatics - 3 medals (1 gold, 2 silver), 1st place;
- Sambo - 6 medals (4 gold, 2 bronze), 1st place;
- Kickboxing - 4 medals (2 gold, 2 bronze), 2nd place;
- Rowing - 4 medals (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), 2nd place;
- Karate - 2 medals (1 gold, 1 silver), 3rd place;
- Underwater swimming - 11 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze), 3rd place.
Ukraine finished the competition in third place overall, benefiting from the successes of athletes in various disciplines. This demonstrates the extraordinary sporting strength and talent of Ukrainian athletes, who have once again amazed the world with their achievements.
