Ukraine took second place in Division 1A at the Youth World Hockey Championship.
The youth national team of Ukraine won its second consecutive silver medal at the World Championship in Division 1A by defeating Kazakhstan. This news was reported by 'Glavkom' based on the data from the FHU.
Before the match, the coaches made one change in the lineup, which resulted in a goal being scored just 48 seconds into the game.
During the second period, Kazakhstan equalized, but our team continued to control the game and threaten with counterattacks.
In the third period, our team played disciplined and had no penalties. The 'blue-and-yellows' defeated Kazakhstan for the first time at the U18 World Championship, hearing the Ukrainian Anthem at the tournament in Hungary. Kazakhstan took the bronze medals, while Denmark won the gold medal and the right to move up a class. Austria remains in Division.
The match score was 2:3 in favor of Ukraine. The goals were scored by Vystavkin, Sarkenov, Kosarev, Ratushnyak, and Bakit.
It should be noted that Ukraine also achieved a great victory over Slovenia at the Youth World Hockey Championship.
