President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, November 29, held a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. During the call, the leaders of the two countries discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense system. Zelensky, among other things, thanked Germany for supplying Patriot and Iris-T systems. Scholz, in turn, shared details of his recent call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin with Zelensky.

Zelensky also had a phone conversation with French leader Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. During the conversation, Zelensky thanked Macron for France's willingness to help with urgent air defense reinforcements for Ukraine, as well as for comprehensive defense support and accelerating the process of transferring Mirage aircraft.

The President of Ukraine emphasized the importance of inviting Ukraine to NATO, expanding long-range capabilities - not only as a necessary measure to counter Russian aggression but also for bringing peace closer.

Syriy decided to strengthen units in the two hottest areas

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy worked today, November 29, in units and subdivisions in Donetsk region - in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions. Based on discussions with commanders who are directly engaged in combat, it was decided to reinforce the Defense Forces units in these two hottest areas of Donetsk region.

According to him, the resilience and courage of Ukrainian defenders are breaking the enemy's plans, which go far beyond these directions.

Ukraine managed to return the bodies of 502 fallen defenders. This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. In particular, it was possible to repatriate the bodies of 397 soldiers from the Donetsk direction, 24 from the Luhansk direction, 64 from the Zaporizhzhia direction, as well as 17 deceased from morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will transport the repatriated bodies and remains to designated state institutions. Representatives of law enforcement and forensic experts will identify the deceased.

The Cabinet appointed a new head of the State Geological Service

Today, November 29, the Cabinet of Ministers during a meeting approved the appointment of a new head of the State Geological Service of Ukraine. He is Oleg Hotsynets. This was reported by the government press service.

It is noted that Hotsynets is the head of the department of mineral resources management at Ukrgasvydobuvannya, while also being a project manager at Naftogaz of Ukraine, and an expert for the State Commission of Ukraine on reserves of mineral resources.
