World Track Cycling Championship: how Ukrainians Danilchuk and Biletska impressed in Chile.
According to inkorr.com: In the capital of Chile, Santiago, the world track cycling championship took place, where Ukrainian athletes showed good results. The second day of the competition was particularly successful for our team. The men's team competed in the keirin, while the women participated in the individual sprint.
Bogdan Danilchuk, who became the first Ukrainian since 2018 to participate in men's sprint disciplines, demonstrated a high level of training and determination on the track.
Alla Biletska also showed an excellent performance in the women's sprint, defeating a competitor who was ranked in the world top. Both athletes showed a worthy level at the championship, but unfortunately, they could not advance further.
Netherlands Achievements
The most successful athlete of the tournament was the Dutchman Harry Lavreysen, who won all four gold medals in his disciplines. Among women, Gwendolyn van der Voet particularly impressed. The Netherlands became the leaders in terms of the number of medals in the overall standings of the championship.
The world track cycling championship in Chile ended successfully for Ukraine, which showed decent results in various disciplines, while the Dutch athletes became absolute winners in terms of the number of awards.
