Ukraine sharply increased gasoline imports ahead of new excises.
Imports of automotive gasoline are increasing, in August the volume of deliveries increased by 30% and amounted to 4.87 thousand tons, reports Consulting Group "A-95". However, a decrease in supply is expected in the third decade of the month.
Over the past four months, the increase in imports of high-octane fuel was caused by seasonal demand growth, and in August companies began to increase supplies ahead of the excise tax increase.
Market participants agree that the growth rate of supplies will not continue throughout the month. Many companies plan to complete deliveries by August 20 to operate under the old excise rates. By the end of August, it is expected that the import volume will reach 150 thousand tons, however, the real figures will be less - 120-130 thousand tons.
