Ukraine and Germany signed an agreement on immediate strengthening of air defense.
Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Germany, Rustem Umerov and Boris Pistorius, signed an agreement at the G7 Defense Ministers meeting in Naples to strengthen Ukraine's air defense system.
The agreement, concluded under the framework of Berlin's IAAD initiative, will allow Germany, along with other countries, to expedite the procurement of air defense systems for Ukraine.
Umerov also reported that four more countries will join the project: Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
"The agreement provides for arrangements under which the signatory countries will contribute to joint projects or finance their own projects aimed at strengthening the air defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Umerov also expressed gratitude to Germany and all participating countries for their contribution to Ukraine's security.
