According to inkorr.com: The army and paramilitary forces were mobilized in Pakistan to ensure the safety of the Sri Lankan cricket team during their tour. This decision was made after a terrorist attack in Islamabad, which necessitated increased security measures for the team.
Security guarantees
The Pakistani leadership confirmed its readiness to protect the Sri Lankan players, providing all necessary security guarantees. Although some players planned to leave the country, the team decided to stay and continue participating in the tournament.
Success of Ukrainian athletes
Ukrainian athletes also achieved significant success at the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, which allowed Ukraine to take 10th place in the overall standings. This success serves as additional motivation for our athletes in the future.
