Ukraine in NATO – an absurd question. The first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation addressed Ukrainians.

Ukraine will not receive security guarantees from NATO
Andrei Kozyrev, former head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Ukraine's accession to NATO will not provide the country with any security guarantees due to the crisis in the Alliance. He claims that NATO is disintegrating or experiencing a deep crisis. Instead, Kozyrev suggests that Ukraine develop nuclear weapons as one of the means to ensure security. He believes that 10-15 low-yield nuclear warheads, along with aircraft for their delivery, will be a sufficient guarantee of security. However, Kozyrev indicated that nuclear weapons will not help liberate already occupied territories. He also noted that US President Donald Trump's statement about the possible forgetting of NATO by Ukraine is the reason for the Russian invasion. US interference in this situation is considered unacceptable.
