Ukrainian athletes continue to delight with their achievements at international competitions. At the European Championships in swimming and Greco-Roman wrestling, our athletes showed excellent results.
Ukraine won its first medal at the European Junior Swimming Championships held in the Slovak city of Samorin. Nikita Sheremet won silver in the 50m freestyle, finishing second with a time of 22.17 seconds. Gold was claimed by Taius Yuska from Lithuania, who beat the Ukrainian by just 0.03 seconds. The bronze medalist was the Spaniard Luka Huk le Genedal.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, our young athletes also demonstrated dignity, taking third place overall. They won a total of seven medals: two silver and five bronze. In addition, Ukrainians shone at the diving championships, earning 12 medals of various kinds, deserving recognition for their talent and team spirit.
In particular, Ukrainian athletes demonstrated impressive results and raised the flag of Ukraine high at competitions among levels and countries, confirming their competitiveness and professionalism.
