Ukrainians were told when the PFU would start allocating subsidies to displaced persons: how to get rental payments.

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine announced the date for the start of allocating subsidies to displaced persons. The press service of the Ministry of Social Policy reported that this process would begin in mid-January 2025.
Many families depend on assistance due to relocation and job loss. Internally displaced persons can receive housing rental subsidies if they have payment issues. Assistance is provided in two cases: if a family spends over 30% of its income on rent or if the income per family member is less than 5840 hryvnias.
These housing rental subsidies will be allocated by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, and recipients will be able to simultaneously arrange subsidies for rent and utilities. "The size of the subsidy will be calculated individually for each family, depending on income, number of family members, and rental costs in each region," explained the Ministry of Social Policy.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers approved an experimental project enabling displaced persons to receive housing rental subsidies in nine regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kherson areas. The Ministry also informs citizens about the acceptance of applications for this support.
