Ukrainians will be given money to buy wood and coal: who and how much will receive.
The Government of Ukraine has decided to provide financial assistance to residents of front-line territories for the purchase of solid fuel. The amount of assistance will be 21,000 hryvnias, which will ensure heating for vulnerable categories of the population during the winter period. The program is funded by international organizations, including UNHCR.
Support will be provided to households living in front-line communities of Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv regions, within a 10-kilometer zone from the state border with the Russian Federation or the line of contact, as well as in areas of active and potential hostilities. The assistance is intended for residential houses that are heated with solid fuel.
